The JSE-listed branded fast-moving consumer packaged goods (FMCG) company Tiger Brands Limited is currently inviting suitable qualified graduates/ students to apply for consideration into their graduate training programme for 2013. This internship programme is aimed at students/ graduates in the following fields: Customer Management and Shopper Marketing, New Product Development, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering.

The main aim and requirements for each field of the internship is listed below:

  1. 1.       Consumer Management and Shopper Marketing

To assist Customer and Shopper managers in creating maximum value of brands to achieve projected sales and market share targets and to develop customer profitability for the company and the customer.

Requirements: B.Com Marketing OR B.Com Marketing Management (Marketing Major),
B Com with marketing major or consumer services major or related qualifications (IMM),
Honours or Masters

  1. 2.       New Product Development

Quality: To assist in processes of continuous innovation and quality assurance to develop products and processes in such a way that these products ensures competitiveness in the market place.

Food Technology: To assist in processes of continuous innovation and quality assurance to develop products and processes in such a way that these products ensures competitiveness in the market place.

Requirements: Any of this relevant qualifications: • B.Sc Food Science • N.Dip/B.Tech Food technology • Honours or Masters

  1. 3.       Mechanical Engineering

To maintain all production and supply services to ensure production can run efficiently.

Requirements:  BSc Engineering/B. Engineering OR B.Tech Engineering with Mechanical Engineering major, Honours or Masters

  1. 4.       Electrical Engineering

To maintain all production and supply services to ensure production can run efficiently.

Requirements:  BSc Engineering/B. Engineering OR B.Tech Engineering with Electrical engineering major (Heavy & Light Current), Honours or Masters

  1. 5.       Industrial Engineering

To analyse the units production efficiencies, people productivity, and overall capacity of the production facility to ensure optimum performance of product specification, cost, service levels and working capital.

Requirements:  BSc Engineering/B. Engineering OR B.Tech Engineering with Industrial engineering major, Honours or Masters
