Job description
Newsclip Media monitoring seeks to employ preferably young dynamic individuals to provide with valuable experience within the media industry. This position is based in Westville, KwaZulu-Natal.
The position will include the following responsibilities:
Scanning – Summarise news bulletins, talk shows, programmes, interviews, etc. into a readable synopses that contains key information. Ensure accuracy of spelling, grammar and contextual content of synopses. Accurately type the synopsis into an in-house database.
Express Monitoring – Ensure the accurate and timeous completion of monitored media. Communicate any changes that will impact on the functionality of the department. Accurately scan the regional newspapers.
Shift for available position :14:00 – 22:00
Must be able to work x2 Sundays a month

Requirements
Tertiary education e.g. Marketing, Corporate Communication or Media Studies Degree
Language requirements: English and/or Zulu
Computer literacy: Basic Microsoft Office,
Strong comprehension of English as a written language;
Typing speed of 45 w.p.m.
