2014 Anglo American Thermal Coal Bursaries

Do your fancy yourself working for a mining giant such as Anglo American? Dream no more, because the company’s Thermal Coal Division is offering bursaries to deserving students/prospective students studying OR planning to study in various fields (see below). The Anglo American Thermal Coal bursary scheme pays for: full tuition fees, accommodation, computer allowance, study material and meals.

Anglo American’s Thermal Coal Division is offering University of Science bursaries in the following fields:

  • Mining
  • Survey
  • Metallurgy
  • Geology
  • Finance
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical (Heavy Current)
  • Environment
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Rock Engineering

What are the requirements?

– Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science – Level 5 achievement.

– Accounting and Pure Mathematics – Level 5 achievement (This requirement only applies to those which to study Finance-related courses).

How to apply?

To apply, complete a bursary application form obtainable at any of our thermal coal operations. Attach your CV and academic transcript to the application form and send your documents to the HR Department at any thermal coal operation.

When are you going to post bursaries for people who didn’t do maths,science,and accounting,I have done geography,history,business economics,criminology,when are we getting the bursaries that wants this kind of subject because I really wanna apply is everything about maths and science does that mean our subject their don’t have future please help and respond

    1. Hi Nomsa, which career do you want to follow? We post bursaries for all subjects. But Maths and Science usually have more bursaries because of the current lack of skills in the economy. Please use our search box above to search bursaries for careers you want to follow.

  2. I have done pure maths and physics and i completed my matric in 2012 so because i was lake of information i wasnt be able to go to varsity so will i gng to get the bursary even if i got a year gap or it for present matriculate?

  3. I am a student at UNISA studying environmental management,I’m about to complete my 2nd level in june and would like to apply for bursary to further my studies since I am strugling financially.The problem is that i did not do maths and physics at high school.

  5. hi there i have tried to apply for a bursary for the year 2014 but all application forms forwarded to me are of years past. i have passed with level seven passes for all my subjects ( including mathematics and physical science) and have various accolades that would be of great interest. could you please help me by forwarding me a 2014 application form or forward me an email address to whom i may pass my CV to.
