The Department of Correctional Services is inviting applications for internship opportunities that currently exist with the Department’s various offices (Head Office, Regional Offices and Management Areas).

The successful interns will receive a monthly stipend of R3500.

What are the requirements?

– Unemployed graduates (those who have successfully completed a Degree or a National Diploma in any of the fields specified below) between the ages of 18 and 35 years.

– Interns will be placed nationally within the Department of Correctional Services (Head Office, Regions and Management Areas).

– Applicants are advised to apply to work stations close to their pplace of residence to reduce their own accommodation and travelling costs.

  1. I would like to kow, if i am a 3rd year student this year not yet completed my diploma can i still apply for the internship?

    1. The intake is this year (in other words, you will have to start working this year); however, you can still apply if you are appointed you will negotiate.

  2. I’d like to know when are we going to informed if we are being selected? Some of us will be in da middle of exams notso far from now wat if it clatches.Can ask for sometime to finish my exams?

  3. If you are successful, you will be invited for an interview within three months (by 19 July 2013). You can always ask to start after you finish your exams.

Hi,i know it has been long since the advertisement of these posts.it’s just that i’m getting nervous because i have applied and I have’t got response and the 19th of July is close,does this mean that my application is unsuccessful.my other question is that how are we going to be contacted for interviews,eg by letters,phone or emails?

      Wait until 19th July. Phone calls are normally preferred, but email may also be used to contact candidates.
