Are your a South African youngster from a previously disadvantaged community? Would you be willing to participate in a 24-months learnership (12 months in the classroom and 12 months at the office)? do you have a recently completed Grade 12 (matric) qualification? Are you saying yes? Then please read on.

The Information Technology Business Learnership Programme (ITBLP) is a 24-months long learnership programme aimed at equiping learners with skills that are aligned with the needs of the ICT and banking industries of the South African economy. The programme is sponsored by the Reserve Bank of South Africa (RBSA), Banking Sector Education and Training Authority (BANKSETA), Gijima, Media Information and Communication Technology Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA), Business Connexion, and First National Bank (FNB).

What are the requirements for this learnership?

You have to meet the following MINIMUM requirements:

  • You must have recently completed your matric (grade 12)
  • Must have passed matric with minimum admission to higher education (pass with Diploma admission and above)
  • Must have passed Mathematics (NOT mathematical literacy) and English with Level 4 (NSC) [OR “D” symbol Higher Grade or “C” Standard Grade if you have old matric (Senior Certificate)]
  • be able and will to reside in Gauteng for the duration of the learnership
  • have NO BAD credit record
  • NO Criminal record
  • You mist be South African

To apply for this learnership submit your CV (not longer than 3 pages) and a certified copy of Grade 12 (matric) to ITBLP-RECRUITMENT@resbank.co.za before closing date on 15 August 2013 . If you did not get a call or email by 30 November 2013 please accept that your application NOT successful.
