Sasol CHIETA Artisan Learnerships (Only Matric OR N3 required)

South Africa founded petroleum and chemicals company, Sasol, is inviting applications from South Africans with matric (grade 12) to apply for artisan learnership opportunities currently available at its Secunda and Sasolburg operations. Successful candidates will be trained and development to become qualified artisans. The learnership will focus on training learners in applicable safety standards and core skills related to the specific trade in maintenance and operation of Sasol plants in line with the requirements of Chemical Industries Education and Training Authorities (CHIETA).

Learners will be trained in one of the following careers: Electrical Artisan, Process Artisan, Electro-Mechanic, Fitter, Instrumentation, Welding, Boilermaker, Rigging, Turning, Diesel-Mechanic, and Miner. Therefore when you apply select the career you are interested in.

What are the requirements?

To be considered you have to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • You must have a Matric / Grade 12 OR an N3 qualification with standard grade Mathematics as a passed subject (NOT Maths Literacy, Applied Maths, Additional Maths, Commercial Maths or Functional Maths);
  • Must have also passed Physical/ Engineering Science with a minimum of symbol E;
  • Must have passed English or Business English; and
  • While previous experience is not a requirement, it will serve as an advantage.
