Anglo American’s coal mining business, Anglo Coal, in Mpumalanga is inviting applications for its P1 & P2 Practical Training opportunities from talented young students in various engineering fields including surveying, control & instrumentation, mining, electrical, and mechanical engineering. This opportunity is presented to students who have already completed P1. Successful applicants will be offered training opportunities primarily with Anglo American Coal South Africa’s operations in Mpumalanga and will receive a stipend for the duration of the training.

What are the requirements?

To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Must have completed P1 and P2 (or currently completing or due to complete P2) in any of the following fields: surveying, control & instrumentation, mining, electrical, and mechanical engineering;
  • Be a South African citizen; and
  • Be studying at a recognised South African institution of higher learning.
