South Africa’s power producer, Eskom, is inviting applications from unemployed South African who completed a Matric OR an N3 certificate together with an N5 certificate in any of the following fields: Electrical (Heavy or Light Current), Control & Instrumentation (C&I), Mechanical, Chemical OR Civil. This learnership will accommodate 17 candidates for a period of 24 months, and learners will be paid a monthly stipend for the duration of the programme. Learners will be given on-the-job training and will be afforded an opportunity to obtain a trade test qualification in order to qualify as Artisans in their chosen fields of study.
What are the requirements?
In order to be considered, candidates have to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Have a Matric OR N3 with a pass of 50% or more in Mathematics and Physical Science;
- Have a completed N5 certificate in a relevant trade discipline (any of these: Electrical (Heavy or Light Current), Control & Instrumentation (C&I), Mechanical, Chemical OR Civil);
- While NOT a minimum requirement, it will be to your advantage if you have an N6 qualification.
