Original text: This leading South African publisher and agent for British and American books has an opening in the Trade Sales Division for a Sales Administration Intern. The successful candidate will coordinate the design and compilation of monthly sales kits and presentations, and assist with general administration responsibilities. The Internship runs for a duration of 12 months.
What are the requirements?
- Must be a student that will be studying a post-graduate degree in Sales and Marketing/Publishing/English or related qualification, part-time in the year 2017
- Preference will be given to a candidate who’s tertiary institution recommends on the job training through written communication
- A sound knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel), the Internet and e-mail is a necessity
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal, are essential
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills
- A general knowledge of books and/or the South African booktrade will be an advantage
- Any knowledge in the creation and manipulation of graphics and digital presentations would be considered very advantageous
