Nestle South Africa is inviting application for its Graduate Internship: Production / Manufacturing from young South African graduates with either of these: Degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or Food Sciences. Reporting to the Head of Production, the successful incumbent will undergo exposure to the manufacturing processes utilized at Nestle and be trained in the management of a production team in a culture of performance monitoring, review and development in support of achieving organization mission and objectives.

  • Assist in control of production scheduling and planning by managing production plans and ensuring attainment there off.
  • Analyse output/efficiency on a shift basis and take appropriate action.
  • Assist with budget and variance control by calculating budget losses and analysing weekly variance and institute corrective action.
  • Ensure that plant is maintained in excellent condition in order to produce at the highest economical viable efficiencies.
  • Involved in initiatives for continuous improvements by using appropriate systems
  • Ensure compliance with Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS), ISO 22000, and Quality Policy
  • Perform duties in accordance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements
  • Ensure smooth operation through effective staff management

Key Requirements:

  • Appropriate Degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or Food Sciences
  • Strong Leadership abilities
  • Have a commercial and financial understanding
  • Fully computer literate
  • Willing to work shifts
  • Willing to relocate around the country
