Our purpose is to nourish families so that they can flourish and thrive.  It has a wonderful diversity of people from African communities who work together to create a workplace that is energetic, challenging and rewarding.  An exciting opportunity exists in the Human Resources Department (Woodmead office) for Graduate in Training: Communications reporting into theHuman Resources Director.

The Key Learning Areas will include but not limited to the following:

    • The Graduates in Training (GIT) will be allocated to Public Affairs and Communication function.
    • Work with the HR Director to develop an Internal Communication strategy that is in line with organization’s strategy.
    • Develop a communication plan.
    • Develop and implement communication campaigns which support strategic objectives and the people strategy.
    • Responsible for drafting and publishing internal communications content i.e. memorandums, messages from Executives, information about Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and HR information on an ongoing basis.
    • Measure the effectiveness of internal communications messages and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Keep abreast of the current communications trends and developments.
    • Continuously research suitable channels and platforms suitable for Kellogg.
    • Co-ordinate company events such as dialogue sessions between Exco and employees and CSR initiatives.
    • Responsible for maintaining and updating company website and social media accounts.
    • Manage relationships with external stakeholders e.g. Agencies.

Minimum Requirements

  • BCom Degree in Media and Communication or Equivalent.
  • Basic Ms Office.
  • Able to commence almost immediately.
