Ernst & Young 2019 Accountancy Bursaries

Multinational professional services form, and a member of the “Big Four” audit firms in the world, Ernst & Young (trading as “EY”) is inviting applications for their 2019 bursaries from South African Matric / Grade 12 learners or current students at South African higher education institutions who will be commencing studies towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field that leads to qualification as a Chartered Accountant. Students who are already studying towards a relevant degree are also invited to apply.

What are the requirements?

  • Learners in Matric who pass Grade 12 Maths with a minimum of 60% for their June 2017 exams;
  • or
  • Students already at university will have to obtain a minimum of 60% in their year end or mid-year exam results in a SAICA-accredited CA(SA) qualification (such as a BCom, BCompt, etc);
  • Must be planning to qualify as a Chartered Accountant;
  • Must be studying towards a SAICA-accredited a BComm Accounting, BAcc, Business Science, CTA, HNS or equivalent. Following the CA stream.
