Bowmans, a prominent African law firm, is inviting deserving and talented individuals to apply for its Bursary Programme offering for the financial year 2020.

Bowmans Law Bursary Programme

The Bowmans Bursary Programme awards full bursary support to a number of beneficiaries each year. The bursary scheme is targeted toward law students, or those intending to pursue a law degree with excellent grade results.

Who should apply?

Candidates must be able to meet the programme’s minimum requirements in order to be considered:

  • University students currently pursuing a law degree
  • Students in matric with excellent grades may apply.Must intend to take up a degree in BCom Law, LLB or BA Law at a South African university

What is the selection process?

The selection committee usually relies on these criteria when choosing a bursary recipient:

  • The main criteria for choosing based on academic merit and provable financial incapacity to study further

How do I apply?

Prospective bursars who are currently pursuing the prescribed field of study in a university will need to apply online on the company’s online recruitment platform. Click here to gain access to the page.

Students in matric who are planning to obtain a degree in any of the prescribed fields of study will need to email their application along with the following documents:

  • Updated CV
  • Most recent academic results
  • Copy of valid SA ID
  • Letter of motivation

Application Deadline?

The deadline for submission of all applications is on 31 October 2019.

Keep in mind that late submissions or applications with missing requirements will not be accepted.
