Job Description
SIQALO FOODS is seeking a Product Development Lab Technician Intern to join our Research and Development department. The role will be based in Boksburg and report to the Assistant Product Development Manager.
SIQALO FOODS entrusts the successful person to support the R&D team on all projects and day to day analysis and to carry out a research project on pH in fat spreads.
What are the requirements?
- Food science, or any natural science Bachelor’s degree
Basic knowledge in product analysis, raw materials and laboratory equipment
Know how to design an experiment and write up a report
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry all fat spread & DCA relevant analysis – pH, droplet size, cycling, stevens assessments, salt analysis, shelf-life, specific volume
- Batching up and supporting on pilot plant trials
- Complete a research project on pH in fat spreads and the factors that affect it
