      Hi Andile,

We are not speaking on behalf of the Department of Social Development, therefore you can still apply to them. However, for you to become admitted into any social work programme at a university in South Africa you need to have passed your matric with DEGREE admission. Unless if you try universities like UNISA who will make you start with a foundation programme, and if you pass it the will admit you to a degree programme. Good luck.
