PPS makes R1.5 million available for bursaries (apply now)

The Professional Provident Society (PPS) is issuing scholarships and bursaries to South African students. The PPS bursaries and scholarships are available to South African citizens who are already in university doing their fourth year of study or those wishing to enrol for postgraduate studies.

Both the scholarship and bursary require that you have exceptional academic abilities. The bursary requires an average of 75% and above. The scholarship, on the other hand, requires a minimum of 85% average academic result.

The PPS scholarship

“Do you have an exceptional academic record (average academic result of 80% and above)? Are you registered at a South African university for a 4th year or post-grad degree in engineering, commerce, science or medicine? If you have answered yes to both questions, then we want to hear from you! The PPS Scholarship for 2012 year of study is R50,000 and covers tuition fees, books and accommodation.”

The PPS bursary scheme

“Do you have an exceptional academic record (average academic result of 75% and above)? Are you registered at a South African university for a 4th year or post-grad degree in engineering, commerce, science or medicine? If you have answered yes to both questions, you may qualify for a PPS bursary.”

The closing date for both the bursary and scholarship application processes is the 15 January 2012.

How to apply for the PPS scholarship or bursary?

After filling the form (download below) and attaching the relevant documents send them to the PPS by email or fax. Fax to 011 644 9629.
