Thabazimbi-based platinum mine, Northam, invites applications for its bursary programme from academically deserving students.
The Northam Mine Zondereinde Division bursary scheme is available to students who are already in university and have already passed their previous year. The bursary covers accommodation, books, and tuition.
What are the requirements?
- Strong interest in one of the degrees above and the intention to build a career within the mining industry as a specialist or manager
- Must be a South African citizen
- Current students should demonstrate a good academic discipline and be able to provide proof of academic progress
- Applicants should pass a medical evaluation as required by mining regulation.
Which courses are covered by this bursary?
The bursary can only be issued to students who are already studying towards a qualification in ONE or more of the following fields:
- Mining engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Mechanical engineering
- Extraction metallurgy
