Finsch Diamond Mine is situated in the town of Lime Acres, 165km west of Kimberley in the Northern Cape.
The mine is currently mining at a depth of 630 meters using mechanised trackless block-cave mining.
Candidates who are interested in a career in the mining sector and currently studying towards a National Diploma are invited to apply for experiential learning in the following field:
Mining Engineering (P1 and P2)
Required documents:
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Completed application form.
- Academic results of studies conducted to date
- A guideline from the tertiary institution on projects and outcomes for experiential training as well as period of training required.
Other required skills and competencies:
- Good communication and sound interpersonal skills�
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Show initiative.
- Self-motivated�
- South African citizenship.
- Successful completion of theoretical Mining Engineering studies.
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence would be an advantage.
Please note: Preference will be given to Petra Diamond SA (Ply) Ltd bursars, children of employees, and candidates with completed Mechanical Engineering studies.
