2013 Rand Water Internship Programme

Rand Water is one of the largest water utilities in the world. It provides bulk portable water of superior quality to 12 million people in the economic heartland of South Africa. Since its inception in 1903, Rand  Water has built the proud history of never failing to supply a continually growing community.

Johannesburg is one of few large cities not built on or near a sustainable river or dam,hence innovative solutions had to be engineered over the years to meet the challenge.

Rand Water is embarking on an exciting capital expansion programme in the process of upholding this proud history and hereby presents various technical and project-related career opportunities:
  • BSc Electrical Engineering (heavy / light current)
  • ND/BSC Bio Chemistry
  • ND/B-Tech Analytical. BSc Civil Engineering. BSc Mechanical Engineering
  • BSc/ B-Tech Information Technology.
  • BCom – Information Technology.
  • Bcom – Finance.
  • Degree Bachelor of Commerce
  • Degree Bachelor of Law
  • ND/B-Tech Forensics.
  • Degree Financial Accounting.
  • ND Environmental Science.
  • Honours/BTech Human Resources Management
In making the final selection, first preference will be given to: 
  • Applicants must be under the age 30 (aligned with the NSDS III)
  • Previously disadvantaged individuals
  • People with disabilities and females.
  • Applicants who have participated in previous graduate or internship programme.
  • South African Citizens.
