Mandeni Local Municipality In-service training opportinities for 2013

Mandeni Municipality adopted an In-Service Policy with the intention of creating an opportunity for students to gain experience in the work-place. It is for this reason that the Municipality is inviting applications for in-service training to be exposed in the following areas:

DEPARTMENT NO. OF POSTS REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES DR DRIVER’S LICENCE
IT 2 Studying towards a Diploma in the field of Information Management/Technology Not Required
Human Resources and Development 2 Studying towards a Diploma in the field of Human Resources Management Not Required
Administration 1 Studying towards a Diploma in the field of Public Management Not Required
Community Services 2 Studying towards a Diploma in the field of Community Development Not Required
Library 1 Studying towards a Diploma in the field of Library Science Not Required
Public Participation/ Public Relations 1 Studying towards a Diploma in the field of Communications/Public Relations or Marketing Not Required
Municipal Manager 1 Studying towards a Diploma in the field of Office Management Not Required
Technical Services 1 Studying towards  a Diploma/Degree in the field of Civil Engineering Required

Requirements: Applicants should currently be registered students with a letter from the Institution requesting for in-service training.

Preference will be given to person/s residing within the jurisdiction of Mandeni Local / Ilembe District Municipality.
Applicants should have good interpersonal skills.
Be fluent in speaking both English and isiZulu and be computer literate.
Duties: 
In-service Trainees will work under strict supervision of his/her mentor following an in-service programme.
Stipend: 
There shall be no benefits or salary for In-Service Trainees except the stipend. which will be paid in accordance with Municipal Policy.
Written applications accompanied by a detailed CV with references. Letter from the current institution where the person/s is studying and certified photocopy of Matric certificate should reach the Human Resources office.
