The Institute for Security Studies (ISS) is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified graduates with an honours degree to apply for an internship position at their Pretoria, Gauteng office. The internship will last for a period of six months and the successful candidate will be placed with the ISS’s Conflict Management and Peace Building (CMPB) Division.
What are the requirements?
To be considered you must have the following:
- An honours degree
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent research, language and writing skills
- A willingness to learn
The CMPB Division at ISS focuses on the following themes (or thematic areas):
Area 1: Conflict management and peacebuilding
Area 2: Training for Peace
Area 3: Security sector reform and governance
Area 4: Gender, peace and security
Area 5: Maritime security
