2014 Afrox Bursary Programme

Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE)-listed African Oxygen Limited (Afrox) – a member of the international Linde Group – is inviting applications from Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial and Mechanical Engineering undergraduate students who will be in their second year of study or higher in 2014 to apply for its 2014 bursaries.

Successful applicants will be required to enter into a bursary contract with Afrox and will be required to participate in paid vacation work at Afrox during vacation breaks throughout the year(s) of funding.

What are the requirements?

To be considered for an Afrox bursary you must meet the following requirements:

  • Pass with an average of 60% or more in your studies;
  • Be in university/techikon in 2014;
  • You must be a South African citizen; and
  • Must not be starting your studies in 2014 (i.e. be in 2nd year or above).

What the bursary covers?

  • A monthly living stipend/allowance;
  • Pays for tuition, books, food, laundry and accommodation; and
  • Vacation work (June and December holidays).
