Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA), a division of South Africa’s national rail freight company, Transnet SOC Limited, is inviting applications from young South African matric (Grade 12) pupils wishing to further their studies in 2014 to apply for its 2014 bursaries. These bursaries are available to applicants interested in studying towards a four (4) engineering qualification at a South African university or technikon. Applicants will have to major in one of the following engineering disciplines: civil engineering, marine engineering or mechanical engineering.
What are the requirements?
The requirements for the Transnet National Ports Authority 2014 bursary programme are as follows:
- You have to pass Grade 12/ Matric;
- Pass with a minimum of 60% in Mathematics (NOT Maths Literacy) and Physical Science;
- Pass a medical examination (this will be done at a later stage, at Transnet National Ports Authority’s discretion).
What does the bursary cover?
This bursary will cover your school fees (including tuition and registration fees), your accommodation and other costs related to your studies.
