The requirements and targets of this project is the placing of learners (unemployed graduates) within the University in order to participate in a learnership (internship) programme for one year to gain practical work experience. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Facilitation of the following Human Resources functions:
    • Provision and maintenance;
    • Employment Equity;
    • Skills Development;
    • Labour Relations and
    • Training and Development. 

Inherent requirements:

  • Applicable B-degree (Human Resources or Industrial Psychology field)
  • Proven computer proficiency.
  • Good human relations, attitude of service, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in the parallel-medium working environment of the University. 

The following criteria apply to the selection of potential candidates:

  • Not currently participating in an existing learnership (internship) programme.
  • Willing to sign a learnership/internship agreement with the UFS.
  • Learner must be available for a period of 1 year to participate in the project.
  • Postgraduate degree will serve as recommendation.
