Supply Chain Management: Intern | IPID

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) is inviting applications from South Africans who recently graduated with a National Diploma or Degree in Purchasing / Logistics OR Public Management (/Administration) or equivalent qualification. The successful candidates will be required to sign an internship contract with IPID and will be paid a monthly stipend of R4 035. This position is based at IPID’s head office in Pretoria.

What are the requirements?

Applicants the following minimum requirements in order to be considered:

  • Be an unemployed South African citizen;
  • Have a degree or national diploma in Public Management/ Administration, Purchasing/ Logistics OR an equivalent qualification;
  • Be able to work under pressure and be self-driven;
  • Be computer literate;
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Have good good interpersonal skills.

Your duties will include the following:

The successful candidate will report to the Supply Chain Management Practitioner and will be responsible for:

  • Register new suppliers on the IPID suppliers and administration database;
  • Filing of supplier database forms;
  • Capture requests for procurement of goods and service on LOGIS and follow up on orders;
  • Sending and receiving e-mail and faxes;
  • Assist with the sourcing of quotations and contract payments;
  • Assist with the compiling of documents for the Bid Committee.
