The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) is inviting applications for an Internship: Administrative Assistant (Ref No.: Q9/2014/04 ) position currently vacant in its Free State office. The position is available to unemployed South African graduates with a three-year degree or diploma in Commerce or Administration. A stipend of R4 035.00 per month will be paid to the successful candidate.
What are the requirements?
You have to meet the following minimum criteria in order to be considered for this internship position:
- Be unemployed, young, South African citizen;
- Have a 3-year qualification in either Administration OR Commerce;
- Be computer literate;
- Have good communication, writing, interpersonal and presentation skills and be outspoken; and
- Be prepared to work under pressure.
What are the duties?
The successful candidate will be trained on: Daily update of the incoming and outgoing correspondence of mail and facsimiles (ensuring that all correspondence reaches the address timeously) ● Human Resource Management. ● Supply Chain Management (Make arrangements on travelling and accommodation for officials) ● Finance (Processing of invoices, compile the claims of the officials etc) ● Auxiliary Services (assist with the management of GG Vehicles etc).
