CSIR Electrician Internship

The CSIR’s Shared Services: Management Services unit has a vacancy for an Intern Electrician.

The main responsibility of the intern will be to assist technicians and artisans in performing fault finding and maintenance on electrical equipment and plant and reticulation systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all electrical installations comply to SANS 0142 regulations and local municipal bylaws.
  • Assist in maintaining electrical installations and equipment in good operating condition.
  • Learn and assist in all aspects of electrical installations.
  • Make a positive contribution in the department while gaining appropriate experience.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • National Diploma (Electrical) or N6.
  • Good customer relations and interpersonal skills.
