Do you have a degree in Media Studies or Communication Studies OR a national diploma in public relations management? Are you unemployed and looking for an internship? The University of Limpopo is inviting individuals like you to apply for an internship opportunity as an Intern: Publications and Media Relations within its 2014 internship programme.
The incumbent will be reporting directly to the Senior Communications Officer. Provide a comprehensive communications and public relations services, which will align with the University’s motto, mission and vision, and facilitate two way communications between the University and its stakeholder.
Minimum requirements:
- Degree in Media Studies or Communication Studies/ National Diploma in Public Relations Management.
- Knowledge of marketing and communications principles, guidelines and best working practice.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure under supervision.
- Good writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team worker
Key responsibilities:
- Write media releases and articles.
- Distribute newsletters internally & externally.
- Monitor, assess and advise on media reports.
- Publicise the University’s events internally and externally.

Applicants who have already participated in any Internship Programme will not be considered and if it is found that this was the case after appointment, the participation(s) will be terminated with immediate effect.
