The University of Limpopo is inviting individuals like you to apply for an internship opportunity as an Intern: Publications and Media Relations within its 2014 internship programme.
Theย incumbentย willย beย reportingย directlyย toย theย Seniorย Communicationsย Officer.ย Provideย a comprehensive communications and public relations services, whichย will align with the Universityโs motto,ย missionย andย vision,ย andย facilitateย twoย wayย communicationsย betweenย theย Universityย andย its stakeholder.
Minimum requirements:
- Degreeย inย Mediaย Studiesย orย Communicationย Studies/ย Nationalย Diplomaย inย Publicย Relations Management.
- Knowledge of marketing and communications principles, guidelines and best working practice.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure under supervision.
- Good writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team worker
Key responsibilities:
- Write media releases and articles.
- Distribute newsletters internally & externally.
- Monitor, assess and advise on media reports.
- Publicise the Universityโs events internally and externally.
