ISASA 2015 Teaching Bursaries / Internships

Are you currently in matric / Grade 12 study Mathematics or Science and English? Or have you completed your matric with the subjects but cannot afford to study further? Are ou currently in university or have completed university study with Maths or Science and English credits? Do you want to study to become a teacher? Southern Africa’s largest association of private schools, Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA) is offering prospective Foundation Phase, Intermediate and FET teachers the opportunity to win bursaries to study for a four year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or a one year post graduate (PGCE) degree at UNISA.

  • Learn from and be mentored by experienced independent school teachers
  • Access to excellent teaching, learning resources and technology
  • Training in ISASA schools

The cost of the bursary will fully cover UNISA fees and textbooks.

Who can apply?

  • School leavers with matric exemption (B pass) and 60% or more in Maths or Science and English;
  • Tertiary students with Maths or Science and English credits;
  • Graduates with Maths, Science or English majors.

If you would like to apply, please download and complete the application form below. Completed application forms must be received by Monday 16 July. They should be emailed to [email protected], hand delivered to ISASA (16 St David Road, Houghton, Johannesburg) or speed posted to ISASA, PO Box 87430, Houghton 2041.
