BHP Billiton Wessels Mine Apprenticeships (Only Matric OR N2 OR NC(V) Level 4 required) (link updated)

BHP Billiton’s Hozatel Manganese Mines (HMM), at its Wessels Mine (in the Kalahari), is inviting applications from young South Africans with a Matric or an NC(V) Level 4 certificate or N2/N3 technical qualification to apply for their apprenticeship opportunities for 2014. Successful candidates will be trained – both theoretically and practically (on-the-job) – to qualify as Artisans, either as Fitter or Electrician.

What are the requirements?

Please make sure you meet the following minimum requirements before attempting to apply:
  • Have a Matric / Grade 12 qualification with pure Maths and Science, OR an N2/N3 technical qualification, OR an NCV Level 4 certificate with Mathematics and Science (minimum pass mark of 40% in each subject).
  • Have a Code B (08) Driver’s License;
  • Be able to pass a medical examination (which will be conducted before employment)
