The Independent Development Trust (IDT) Internship Programme (Various fields)

The Independent Development Trust (IDT) is inviting applications from unemployed graduates and final year students in various study fields to apply for their internship programme. Interns are invited from candidates with bachelor’s degrees /diplomas in any of the following fields: communication, law, information technology, construction and building management, quantity surveying, engineering, human resources, industrial psychology, industrial relations, accounting, finance and administration. Interns will be based within IDT offices throughout the country and will be paid a monthly stipend for the duration of the 12-month internship programme.

What are the requirements?

In addition to the qualification requirements in the table below, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be computer literate;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Have good interpersonal skills;
  • Must have NOT participated in any internship programme before (public /private sector;
  • Be a South African citizen.

You can apply for the IDT internship programme by emailing your detailed CV together with a covering letter to the IDT on [email protected] indicating the internship post and region you are applying to in the cover letter and subject line of your email (e.g. Application: Intern: Legal – Head Office Pretoria).

Applicants are encouraged to apply for internship posts in IDT office closer to their homes.
