The national Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is inviting applications from current agriculture, forestry and fisheries students and matric learners intending to study towards any of the agriculture, forestry and fisheries-related qualifications below to apply for their 2015 Bursary Programme. This department has been issuing bursaries to students and matric learners for studying agriculture, forestry and fisheries-related careers for a number of years and most of their bursary recipients a doing very well both in the private and public sector of the South African economy.
What are the requirements for the 2015 Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Bursary Programme?
To be considered for a Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries bursary you have to be intending to study or currently studying towards one of the following and meet the specified requirements:

Postgraduate Bursaries at the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries | |
Postgraduate studies in any agriculture, forestry and fisheries-related study areas linked to DAFF priority research projects at the following postgraduate levels:

The bursary will give preference to previously disadvantaged and poor people from deep rural communities that also poverty stricken. Anyone, including females and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Applicants have to be South African citizens.
What will a Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries pay for?
If you are awarded a bursary by the department, you can expect it to pay for your tuition fees (school fees), books, food, accommodation and also pay you a monthly allowance for the duration of the bursary. Please note: you may be required to work for the department when you complete your studies.
