SAB Newlands Brewery Apprenticeships (Only Matric & N3 required)

South African Breweries’ (SABMiller) Newlands Brewery in the Western Cape is currently accepting applications for placement on their Mechanical and Electrical Apprenticeship Programme starting in September 2014. The apprenticeships are targeted at young South Africans with a Matric/Grade 12 qualification with Maths and English as passed subjects and an N3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

The SAB Newlands Brewery Apprenticeship offers both on-the-job training and off-the-job learning, one successful completion of which learners are expected to have qualified as artisans in their fields. This learnership will be based in Newlands, Cape Town.

What are the requirements?

To be considered for these apprenticeship opportunities, you have to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Have a Grade 12/Matric qualification with Maths and English passed 50% or above;
  • Have an N3 qualification in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering;
  • Be motivated;
  • Have mechanical and electrical knowledge;
  • Be mentally alert; and
  • Have conceptual, problem-solving and analytical skills.
