South African chemicals and explosives conglomerate, African Explosives and Chemical Industries Limited (AECI), is inviting applications for its KwaZulu-Natal learnership opportunities which, if successfully completed, will result the learner being awarded with a National Certificate: Chemical Operations at NQF Level 2. You have to be a South African citizen aged between the ages of 18 and 25, and have a Grade 12/Matric certificate in order to be considered for this learnership programme. Successful candidates will be placed on a 12-months long learnership programme, two months of which will be spent attending theoretical classes at the AECI Training Centre at Umbogintwini Industrial Complex in KwaZulu-Natal. Learners will receive a learnership allowance for the duration of the learnership programme. This learnership programme will accommodate 20 learners.
What are the requirements?
- Be an unemployed young South African (between 18 and 25 years of age);
- Have a Grade 12/Matric certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science;
- Be able to work in a chemical environment; and
- While not a minimum requirement: it would be to your advantage if you are computer literate.
