South African state-owned rail company, Transnet, are inviting applications for their 2015 leanerships for Trainee Protection Officials, which are open to South African citizens resident in the Northern Cape or Western Cape provinces. Applicants are required to have a Grade 12 certificate and be mentally and physically fit. This is a nine months learnership programme wherein learners will be afforded an opportunity to train to become competent Patrol and Access Control Security Officers.
What are the requirements?
- Have a Grade 12 certificate;
- Be medically and physically fit;
- Must be a South African citizen with no criminal record;
- While NOT a minimum requirement, it will be to your advantage if you had SANDF, SAPS, Correctional Services, or other private industry security or police experience.
