2016 Motoring Journalism Bursar Programme | SAGMJ

Do you have a qualification or background in writing or journalism or a related qualification? The South African Guild of Motoring Journalists are inviting applications for its 2016 Motoring Journalism Bursar Programme from South Africans interested in writing about motoring. Successful applicants will be paid a monthly stipend of R5300 and will be rotated around motoring publications and car manufacturing for a period of eleven (11) months – one rotation per month.

What are the requirements?

  • Be fluent in spoken and written English, have accurate spelling capabilities;
  • Have a background or qualification related to writing or journalism;
  • Have a keen interest in automobiles and the industry at large;
  • Have a driver’s license (Code B OR EB) and own car, and be willing and able to travel;
  • Be computer literate;
  • Have a strong sense of integrity and honesty;
  • Be willing to learn;
  • Be willing to be involved in a variety of organisation’s at grassroots level;
  • Be able to have own accommodation in the greater Johannesburg area.
