Independent Newspapers is inviting applications for its 2016 Apprenticeships with its operations in KZN. The apprenticeship is a 3-year long paid training programme, at the end of which candidates are expected to be qualified as Artisans: Rotary Offset Machine Minder. Applications are invited from unemployed South Africans with a Grade 12/ Matric qualification.
What are the requirements?
To be considered for the apprenticeship at Independent Newspapers in KZN, you have to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Have a Matric / Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science as passed subjects;
- Be physically healthy and strong;
- Have finger and hand dexterity;
- Be able to work quickly, accurately and safely;
- Have good hand-eye coordination;
- Be responsible;
- Have some mechanical aptitude;
- Not be colour-blind;
- Have a good eye-sight and eye for detail;
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; and
- Be willing to work overtime, on public holidays and shifts.
