South African electricity generating state-owned enterprise, Eskom, is inviting applications for its 2016 Apprenticeships within its HV Plant department in Mpumalanga from unemployed South African citizens with a Matric/Grade 12 certificate or an N3 qualification. The apprenticeships will be based with Eskom Transmission Division in Mpumalanga and apprentices will receive a monthly learnership for the duration of the apprenticeship programme.
What are the requirements?
To be considered for this Eskom Apprenticeship, you need to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Have a Grade 12/ Matric certificate with English, Science and Mathematics as passed subjects OR an N3 with English, Maths and Engineering Science;
- Be computer literate;
- Be able to apply Mathematics and Science knowledge;
- Have problem-solving, planning and organising skills;
- Understanding of technical, electrical equipment and the energy conversion process;
- Be self-motivated and analytical; and
- Have good communication skills.
