South Africa’s state-owned power generator and the leading electricity producer in Africa, Eskom, is inviting applications for its Plant Management Technician currently available at its various power stations across the country. Candidates are required to have completed the a minimum of a National Diploma in any one of the following fields: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Control and Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering. These are full-time position and not internships, and will thus pay a market related monthly salary. There are currently 25 vacant posts to be filled across the country through this advert. No experience required.
What are the requirements?
To be considered you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must have completed a minimum of a National Diploma in any one of the following: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Control and Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering;
- Be willing to undergo a standard psychometric test;
- Be trustworthy, customer focused, ethical and have integrity; and
- Have knowledge of the following: Design codes and standards, Power plant system and technology knowledge, Engineering theory knowledge, and knowledge of relevant processes, procedures, policies, guidelines and legislation.
