Cenfri 2016 Masters degree Bursaries

Are you a postgraduate student currently pursuing your masters degree or planning to study towards a maters in Economics or a related study field? The Centre for Financial Regulation & Inclusion (Centri),  a non-profit think tank based in Cape Town, is inviting application from South African citizens or permanent residents for its 2016 Master’s bursaries. The bursaries are for Master’s degrees in Economics or related fields and can be held together with other funding such as university bursaries or NRF funding, as long as there are no work back clauses in those bursaries. The bursaries’ value is R25,000 per bursary.

What are the requirements?

To be considered for the Cenfri 2016 Bursaries, you have to meet the following requirements:

  • SA citizens or permanent SA residents only
  • Current Masters student in good standing with the University
  • Currently completing Master’s degree in Economics or related fields
  • Advanced English language skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated interest in the field of development economics and financial sector development
  • Good quantitative and analytical skills
  • A strong interest in research-related activities.
