One of South Africa’s foremost construction, engineering and contracting services firms, Murray & Roberts are inviting applications for their 2016 Learnerships in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment from unemployed South Africans with a Grade 12/Matric certificate or equivalent qualification (e.g. N3) who are also residents of communities where their two cementation projects are based: Booysendal (Mashishing community) or Venetia (Musina community). Learners will be trained at the Murray and Roberts Training Academy in Carletonville, Gauteng. On successful completion learners will receive a nationally-recognised National Certificate in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment at NQF Level 2.
What are the requirements?
In order to be considered applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Have a Grade 12/Matric certificate or equivalent qualification;
- Be able to converse in English;
- Be unemployed;
- Be a resident of a community where any of these two projects are based: Murray & Roberts Cementation’ Booysendal project (in Mashishing / Lydenburg) OR Murray & Roberts Cementation’ Venetia project (in Musina);
- Have good verbal and written communication skills.
