The South African State Information Technology Agency (SITA) in partnership with the provincial governments of Mpumalanga, North West and the Eastern Cape are inviting applications for their 2016 Learnerships in Information Technology. The learnerships are open to South African citizens with Grade 12 / Matric certificate who are residents of either Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga or North West. There is a total of 150 opportunities, with 50 learnerships in each of the three provinces. Successful candidates will be paid a monthly stipend of R3000.00 for the duration of the learnerships.
What are the requirements?
- Be a South African young person (between the ages of 18 and 35 years of age);
- Have a completed Matric / Grade 12 certificate;
- Be currently unemployed;
- Be a resident of any of these provinces and be prepared to complete the learnership in that province: North West, Eastern Cape or Mpumalanga.
- While not a strict minimum requirement, a computer literacy certificate will be to your advantage.
Please note that people with a diploma or degree, and those who completed any other IT learnerships previously should not apply.
