South African supply chain firm, Unitrans Supply Chain Solutions, is inviting applications for its 2016 freight handling learnerships which will be based at its premises in Cato Ridge, KwaZulu-Natal for a period of 12-months. Applications are invited from young unemployed South African citizen with a Grade 11 qualification or higher (e.g. Matric/Grade 12 or N3 or higher). Successful applicants will be appointed on learnership contracts and will be provided with both on-the-job and in classroom training towards a nationally recognised National Certificate: Freight Handling which will be issued at NQF Level 3. A monthly learnership allowance will be paid.
What are the requirements?
In order to be considered, applicants have to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be aged between nineteen (19) and twenty-six (26) years;
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English;
- Must have passed Grade 11 or higher;
- Must not have a criminal record;
- Have a clean medical record;
- Be numerical oriented;
- Advantage: While NOT a strict minimum requirement, Math Literacy will be an added advantage.
