Eskom 2016 Apprenticeships (Various fields, minimum N2 required)

South African power producer, Eskom, is inviting applications for its 2016 four-year apprenticeship programme in various fields including plumbing, riggers, fitters, fitter & turner, mechanical fitters, mechanical, and electrical. There are 64 apprenticeship places within Eskom’s various departments in various geographical locations within South Africa. Successful candidates will be required to sign 4-year contracts with Eskom and will be paid a monthly stipend at Task Grade 7.

What are the requirements:

Applicants are required to meet the following  criteria in order to be considered:

• Be a South African citizen;
• Be computer literate (Microsoft Word & Excel);
• Good leadership, problem/ conflict solving skills;
• Ability to work well under pressure;
• Have an minimum of an N2 qualification in any field below:

Turbo Gen Services

• Completed N2 with Trade Theory or Technical Matric – Fitters x30, Riggers x18, Fitter & Turner x2

Constructions Services

• Completed N2 with Trade Theory or Technical Matric – Electrical x8
• Completed N2 with Trade Theory or Technical Matric – Plumbing x1

Bulk Material Services 

• Completed N2 with Trade Theory or Technical Matric – Mechanical Fitters x8

Transformer and Switchgear Services

• Completed N2 with Trade Theory or Technical Matric – Riggers x4, Mechanical x2
• Completed N2 with Trade Theory or Technical Matric – Electrical x8
