SASOL Secunda Firefighter 2016 Learnerships (Only Grade 12 OR N3 learners or drivers required)

South African auto fuels and chemical company, Sasol, is inviting applications for its 2016 Junior Firefighters learnerships currently available at its Secunda operations in Mpumalanga. Applicants are required to have either a Matric / Grade 12 qualification OR an N3 certificate; applicants should also have a minimum of a learner’s license for Code B (08) or higher. Successful candidates will be appointed as Junior Firefighters within Sasol and will be remunerated according to company policy.
What are the requirements?
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria in order to be considered:
- Must be a South African citizen;
- Have a Grade 12 / Matric certificate or N3 certificate;
- Have a minimum of a code B (08) Learner’s License;
- Must be able to muster heights and confined spaces, are mentally and physically capable to respond to emergencies and apply mitigating measures;
- While applications will be accepted from all candidates with South African borders, preference will be given to applicants who are resident near the Sasol Secunda operations and are aged 20 years or younger.

**** Experienced firefighters who meet the following criteria and would like to join Sasol, can also apply using the above application process and, if successful, will be appointed to Experienced Firefighters‘ positions: have a minimum Grade 12 Senior Certificate or N3 and a Code C1 driver’s license, Level 3 First Aid, Fire Fighter 1&2 and Hazmat Awareness & Hazmat Operations certification.
