Transnet 2017 Engineering Bursaries & CA Training Programme

South African state-owned freight rail company, Transnet, is inviting applications for its 2017 bursaries (which funds engineering related studies) and for its 2017 Chartered Accountancy Training (CAT) programme. Bursaries are open to current matric learners, people intending to study towards a relevant qualification in 2017 and those current studying towards a relevant engineering qualification at a South African university.  The Chartered Accountants Training programme is open to both final year students in a relevant SAICA-accredited undergraduate qualification and those currently studying towards a CTA or BCompt Hons.

Minimum Requirements: Bursary Application (B.Eng or BSc Engineering)

Grade 12 Learners (SA Citizens) with outstanding achievements, minimum five symbol in Mathematics and Physical Science and students currently studying towards B Eng or B.Sc Engineering are encouraged to apply for one of our comprehensive bursaries in the following disciplines:

  • Civil
  • Mechanical
  • Electrical (Heavy Current)
  • Industrial
  • Electronic
  • Metallurgy (Physical)

Minimum Requirements: Charted Accountants Training (CAT) Programme

B Compt Hons/final year or one year Certificate in Theory of Accounting (CTA) programme. Current
final year CTA students are also welcome to apply. Applications must be accompanied by a CV including certified copies of your Grade 12 certificate, junior degree transcript, degree, proof of final year CTA university registration.
