East Rand Water 2016/2017 Experiential Training (completion of S4 required)

East Rand Water Car Company (ERWAT) is inviting applications for its 2016 / 2017 Experiential Training opportunities from South African students who have completed the S4 level of their qualifications in various engineering, microbiology, biotechnology and analytical chemistry fields. The candidates will be paid a monthly stipend while being afforded an opportunity to gain experience as part of the ERWAT Work Integrated Learning Programme.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, candidates have to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Be a South African citizen;
  • Be a young person between the ages of 20 and 25 years;
  • Must be unemployed and have never participated in a formal internship or experiential learning programme;
  • Must have completed the S4 level in any of the following fields:
    • S4 Chemistry/Analytical chemistry (Ref No.: Dip 1)
    • S4 Microbiology/Biotechnology (Ref No.: Dip 2)
    • S4 Mechanical Engineering (Ref No.: Dip 3)
    • S4 Electrical Engineering (Ref No.: Dip 4)
    • S4 Chemical Engineering (Ref No.: Dip 5)

How to apply?

To apply for the ERWAT Work Integrated Learning Programme experiential training opportunity, you are requested to email the following documents to aubreyd@erwat.co.za with Diploma written in the subject line:

  • A CV with certified copies of certificates and academic records (transcripts) attached
  • Proof of residence (preference will be given to Ekurhuleni residents)
  • An application letter stating the discipline you are applying for and the reference number
  • An affidavit stating that you have not previously participated in an internship programme
