South African financial services and banking giant, Standard Bank, is inviting applications for its 2016/2017 Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Operations Learnerships from unemployed South African youth with a Grade 12 / Matric certificate. Learners will be placed on 12-months learnership contracts and will receive a monthly learnership allowance of R6000. Successful candidates will be equipped with on-the-job training as well as classroom-based training, and will, on successful completion of the learnership be awarded a National Certificate in Banking at NQF Level 5.
What are the requirements?
In order to be considered, applicants have to meet the following requirements:
- Be a young South African of between 18-30 years of age with a Matric certificate;
- Be computer literate;
- Be unemployed, not currently studying or involved in another learnership;
- Be able to read, write and speak in English;
- While NOT strict minimum requirements, the following will serve as ADVANTAGES:
- Any of these as matric subjects: Mathematics; Maths Literacy; Accounting OR Business Studies; OR
- Have completed a 3 year Financial/Accounting/Operations/Process Engineering Qualification/Degree.
