Original text: The Massmart Graduate Development Programme (MGDP) is aimed at ensuring that young talented graduates are given the right foundational knowledge and practical experience to become authentic future career retailers. Since 2007, the MGDP runs for a year and consists of a theory and practical component. The Wits Business School (WBS) and UCS Retail Academy partner with us to deliver a NQF level 7 accredited programme. The WBS programme equips graduates with foundational management skills and competencies, as well as entry level professional skills. We believe this combination will adequately prepare graduates for future roles in our organisation.
