South African Airways Learnerships & Apprenticeships (Only Matric OR N3 required)

South Africa’s state-owned national and international flights operator and airline, the South African Airways (SAA), is inviting applications from unemployed South African youths with a Matric certificate OR an N3 qualification to apply for their Learnerships and Apprenticeships. Learners and apprentices will be trained in any of the following fields (you must your preferred two fields when applying): Aircraft Mechanical, Aircraft Electroplating, Aircraft Welding, Aircraft Structures, Aircraft Trimming, Aircraft Spray Painting, Aircraft Composites Structures, Aircraft Turner Machinist, Avionics Electrician, Radiotrician, and Instrument. A monthly allowance will be paid to successful candidates.

These learnerships and apprenticeships will be primarily based in Kempton Park, Gauteng with SAA’s SAA Technical division.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Must have a Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science with a 50% or level 4 symbol; OR
  • N3 with Mathematics, Physical or Engineering Science with a 50% or level 4 symbol;
  • Be a South African citizen.
